The Netherlands-based "Coöperatieve Vereniging OpenGeoGroep" is a cooperation of Dutch companies who jointly provide professional services in the domain of open source geospatial IT ("geospatial IT" is also known as "GIS"). The group combines both technical and management expertise from its individual members to present a rich source of knowledge on open geospatial information services. In its current form, the "OpenGeoGroep" represents a significant percentage of the Dutch expertise on open geospatial information services. This unique Dutch cooperation aims to be a central hub with a single point of contact on open source geospatial IT for users, companies and organizations within The Netherlands and sometimes abroad.
